Idiot Ferrets

Sofia watched as Sal took some casserole and filled it with water and put some vegetable into the water. Her head tilts to the side as she was a little confused on what he was doing. She shakes her head as she went to grabbed her staff and tied it behind it behind her. As she was messing with her ties, she notices him walked by and pointed at her from the outside. Her grey eyes widen when she notice that he was pointing at her.

-YOU ARE GOING TO EAT WHILE WE'RE WALKING TO THE HQ !!!!

umm how?

She then notices that his hands were heating up the water because the water started to boil a little from his fiery hands heating up the water. She could not fantom how he was able to do that, but she just giggles a little before lightly gaping at how he was able to do something like this. Then again she was able to make ice cream from freezing it. She saw him smirk at her which she could not help but smile back at him.

-Guess you can't find an excuse to not eat this morning, HAH!

She nodded her head at him while she closes and locked the door behind her. She notices that Oscar had followed her outside the house and leaning against her leg. she quickly bent over to pick up the boar before adjusting the boar to be against her chest. The boar snorted and closes its eyes as it enjoyed the coolness of her body. She walked with him down the village steps.

"Thank you for cooking. I usually the one to cook."

She gave him a smile, but she still had the sadness creeping in her eyes as if she tried to hide it still. Sofia grabbed a vegetable in the casserole as steam form from her hand touching it. She did not get burn as she was pretty much cold enough to deal with it.

They have gotten pretty far down the steps and fought many of the slimes and bees that had to attack them. She ended up eating the whole food that he made for her and share some with Oscar. The moment they reach the bridge she noticed that there were two guys hanging around there. They both had black glasses. The red hair one was leaning against the bridge trying to act cool which he was failing at. The blonde hair guy was looking at the river below trying to distract himself from being bored.

"They look very sketchy."

Sofia said as they got to the bridge and looked at how the red hair boy perks up and got in front of them.

"No one is allowed on the bridge without a price."

The blonde boy looked over and crossed his arms.

"We want 10,000 apples."

Sofia's eyes widen when she shook her head at the boys. She knew they had to get passed, so she did not budge as she watched as the boys seem to looked annoyed that they did not turn back.

"We don't have 10,000 apples."

The two boys laughed at her and then pointed to signal them to leave the bridge. She could feel Sal heating up with anger. She tried to calm him down but fail as she notices the fire boy was yelling at the two.

"Calm down, let just sort this out calmly."

The 2 boys just rolled their eyes at her and got in a position to fight. Sofia still had Oscar against her which meant that she had to put the boar down if she was going fight. Of course, she did not want to fight the two. She rather solve the issues with words not attacking. But, these boys were refusing to listen to her and looking like they could careless about what she had to say.

"If you refuse to leave, then we will have to fight you."

A fence on either side had popped up which locked them in as the two boys seem had booby trapped the place ,so their victims could not run away if they refuse to cough up the apples. She sighed and put the unwilling boar on the ground. Her hands glowing blue as she grabbed her staff from behind her.

The red hair boy made the first move and try to hit Sofia which he regretted when Sal had gotten to him first before he could even hit the girl. She had lightly froze the blonde hair bo before he could do anything. They both knock over like it was nothing which she giggle at. They were way to easy though. Too easy,she notice that the fences did not go down at all.

"Thank you for cooking. I usually the one to cook."

Salamander doesn't mention that she seems to look still a bit sad and looks away, losing his smile. If she wants to talk to him about it, she probably will. He doesn't need to repeat himself about how important it is to talk to people about those things. Not only that, but he doesn't wish to repeat himself over and over. If she doesn't listen to his earlier advice, it's all on her. He feels like an asshole for ignoring her sadness, but he doesn't let it bother him. He grinds his teeth, eyebrows furrowed. Okay, yeah, it bothers him badly.

The sudden apparition of monsters offer him some distraction and he explodes, smashes and punches to relieve a bit of frustration. Their walk towards the crossing bridge is relaxing for him, as he burns to crisp the bees that try to attack them. Sofia doesn't need to use much of her magic as Salamander finishes most enemies very quickly.

Arriving at the bridge, both mages notices the weird looking guys standing in the middle of the bridge. Salamander squint his eyes at them.

"They look very sketchy."

Salamander grunts in agreement. He even takes a step forward to comes between the two men and his partner, in an obvious way to shield her. The men don't seem to be impressed, which is quite natural as Salamander is only sixteen.

"No one is allowed on the bridge without a price."

The blonde man crosses his arms in front of his torso, in an attempt to intimidate them. Salamander copy his pose, cockily.

"We want 10,000 apples."

Salamander cracks his shoulders, his crimson eyes burning with excitement. He wants to blow them along with the bridge. He cackles in amusement as he answers loudly;

-OH YEAH ?! AND WHAT WILL HAPPENS IF WE DON'T PAY ?!

Salamander doesn't see Sofia, but he clearly hear her voice from behind his back;

"We don't have 10,000 apples."

The two sketchy guys dare laughing at the answer the delicate girl offered, before waving them away, as if they would just leave like this. By the smoke coming out of Salamander's mouth and his scowl, they signed their own death warrant when they laughed at the girl behind him. Salamander's uncrosses his arms and crack his arms along with his fingers, who are now starting to crackle with fire.

-YOU TWO ARE DEAD ! D.E.A.D !!!!! Salamander recites the letters of the word as fire surround his fists. Both the men in front of them grow pale but they aren't backing down.

"Calm down, let just sort this out calmly."

Despite Sofia's attempt to calm him down, he only shrugs her words off and punch the first guy in the face before he even has the time to attack him. Like paper, he simply crumbles pathetically on the ground after flying in the air. Salamander blink a few seconds and looks at the side, where the other guy ends up in the same way. Salamander starts laughing so loudly he falls on the ground;

-HWAHAHAHAWAWA His laughs cuts off as he starts sobbing hysterically. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS FARCE ?!!!!! TRYING TO ACT ALL TOUGH !!!!!!!! WHEN YOU'RE ALL WEAAAKKKK !!!!!!! He simply loses it, rolling on his stomach to punch the ground several times as he tries to gets his breath back. He's wheezing painfully on the ground, eyes in tears and hands still punching the bridge with enough force to put a dent on the surface of the bridge.

Because he isn't paying attention, busy laughing his ass off, he misses the shadow charging at them. A sword plants itself into his cape, obviously aiming for his spine but the cape being so long it's easy to mistake his form from beneath it and the person that attacked him completely missed.

Salamander's laugh cuts off when he hears the sound of his cape being torn to shreds. He gasps and releases immediately a wave of fire from his lips in the direction of his assailant but the person steps away quickly so the fire that was spit out misses completely.

Salamander quickly gets up on his feets. He inspects his cape, completely cut-off from the waist down. He growls as he brings his attention back to the woman standing proudly in front of them. He glares at her, his fangs showing in his frown. She licks blood from her blade and that's only then that Salamander realizes that he's mildly cut at the side of his stomach. Apparently, the attack earlier didn't completely fail. Realizing it, Salamander shout while raising flaming fists towards her;

-I AM GOING TO GET YOU BACK FOR THIS, YOU FUCKING BITCH !!!!! I AM GOING TO BURN YOUR HAIR ALONG WITH YOUR BRAIN !!!!!!!!

Sofia lightly giggle as she watches the boys go down without really a fight. She shakes her head at the over the display of power that Sal use on the pathetic boys. Her hand went to her mouth to cover the chuckle as she felt bad for the boys. They tried really hard to go against Sal and failed at their attempts. She noticed Oscar was snorting a laugh at the boys which she shh him with a bop to the boar nose.

-HWAHAHAHAWAWA..... WHAT THE HECK IS THIS FARCE ?!!!!! TRYING TO ACT ALL TOUGH !!!!!!!! WHEN YOU'RE ALL WEAAAKKKK !!!!!!!

Sofia knew that Sal was overreacting more than he needed to. She shakes her head at him as she watched him rolled around the ground and punching the ground while he continues to laugh. A shadow had gone near as she to a jump back in the reaction in seeing the shadow. Oscar immediately went to hide behind the girl's leg as he to notice what was happening.

She was about to warn him, but it was a little too late as the shadow charge at him. Sofia went to grabbed her staff from behind her as she got into her ready stance. She watches as the lady had shredded Sal cape and gawk at her.

Before his flaming fist could meet the lady, an ice shard goes past him and almost hit the lady who dodges it. She had aimed for Sofia who also easily dodge the lady with grace as she held her staff protectively in front of herself.

The lady begins to lick the sword she had from the little blood on it. It sends shivers down Sofia as she watches the lady looked away from him and looked at her. She had a smirk on her which Sofia took a few steps back.

-I AM GOING TO GET YOU BACK FOR THIS, YOU FUCKING BITCH !!!!! I AM GOING TO BURN YOUR HAIR ALONG WITH YOUR BRAIN !!!!!!!!

She ignored him as she easily dodges his attack and dashes away from him to meet Sofia protective staff form. The impact of Staff and sword cause sparks which Sofia took advantage and twirl her finger shocking the lady who quickly back away and huffs a bit from the painful shock. She quickly got back up and held her sword defensively and begin to speak. Sofia had ice forming on her feet as it slowly changes the ground to ice around her.

"Looks like we have brats who won't pay the price."

She twirls her sword with her one hand and grinned evilly at Sofia.

"Boss!"

Both the boys said excitedly, the lady just ignored the two boys as she pointed her sword at Sofia.

"You first."

The lady charge only to missed pretty badly as Sofia was faster than her as she had secretly iced the floor during the lady talking time. She just slides down the ice and stops herself with one hand to the ground as she tried not to use too much of her powers again. She did not want to end up fainting again and getting in trouble.

"I really do not want to fig-"

She was intterupted by the sword getting dangerly close to her face.

"You are wimping out, punk."

She dodges the lady who ended up running into the wall and got dizzy. Sofia had an idea popped in her head. She looked over to Sal as she hopes he notices the advantage.

"Oink!"

Oscar knew right away and the charge had the lady and headbutted her which she took a little damage. He was trying show off for his mistress as ever. He snorted happily before he pulled away before the lady could get her act together and hit the little boar.

"You first."

If there's something that Salamander hates more than anything is to be totally ignored as if he was a weakling.

*SHE SHOULD BE CHALLENGING ME !!!!!!*He thinks harshly, his pride hurt

Seeing the eyepatch bitch speak to Sofia and completely ignore him as if he isn't worth fighting just makes both of his arms light up in flames from the weight of his anger. He grinds his teeth in pure rage when she points her sword at Sofia. She misses pretty badly but it's the same for Salamander and his flame punches miss her by a short distance. It, however, hit one of the boys and the suspicious guy with blonde hair falls from the bridge.

Because of his wound, every time he moves to attack the bitch with the eyepatch, he winces and that gives enough time to the woman to dodge his attacks. Not only that, but he has even less precision than he normally has. It starts to piss him off so badly that there's no coordination left in his attacks and it's mostly him destroying the bridge in his attempt to hurt her back. He also gets penalized by the Ice that Sofia casted on the ground. It makes it so slippery that he needs to break it or melt it before even moving.

"I really do not want to fig-"

He screams over Sofia at the same time as the lady;

"You are wimping out, punk."
-OF COURSE, WE WANNA FIGHT !!!!!!!

Sofia dodges the eyepatch bitch's attack without real difficulty as she's quicker and the woman smashes into the wall. The sound of her skull hitting the stone wall and her dizziness give Salamdner an idea. He smirks sadistically and melts the Ice as he moves forward to where the woman is crouched down, her head spinning. She's defenseless, having dropped her weapon after crashing into the wall. He doesn't seem to realize that Sofia too had an idea, possibly very different than his own and less cruel. He's only following the rage fuelling into his veins that consume everything in his mind.

Salamander doesn't even acknowledge the broar, eyes blazing with a real barbarous intent.

Before the enemy can stand up once more on her feets to properly attack them, he grabs her scalp in a tight grip. He then, effortlessly as she still seems a bit dizzy, smash her face straight into the stone wall. There's a sound of bones cracking, possibly her nose, before he whacks her again the same way. She screams in pain, her nose broken and an intense flow of blood coming out of her nostrils. She tries to lessen out his grip on her hair but he kicks her in the stomach when she gets too close to hurting him. He laughs hard at her feeble attempts to protect her face from the impact as he crushes her face against the stone once more. A tooth of hers falls on the ground. Salamander, after seeing tears of pain coming out of her only eye, screams mockingly;

-STILL WANT TO STOP US FROM CROSSING THIS STUPID BRIDGE ?!!!!!

The boys tries to approach to free their boss, the blonde guy drenched wet. Salamander turns his head towards them, while weakly pushing the head of the woman near the wall but not quite touching it. She whimpers softly in fear.

-IF I WERE YOU GUYS, I WOULD BACK THE FUCK DOWN !!! IT'S BETWEEN HER AND ME !!!!

They seem too scared to approach despite being desperate enough to try. They look very loyal to their boss.

Sofia freezes up as she watches Sal lose all control of himself. She for once was terrified of him and felt her whole body begin to shake. Icy tears whelm at the edge of her face, but she tried her best to shut off her feelings. Still shaking, she edges over to Sal and the women on the ground. She watches as the women struggle and begins to cry. She swears she could see the fire, in the angry eyes of Sal. She hesitates to put her hand on his shoulder to calm him down. He was to rilled to listened to her.

-STILL WANT TO STOP US FROM CROSSING THIS STUPID BRIDGE ?!!!!!

She spotted in the corner of her eyes the two boys trying to get over to their boss. Sofia tried to motion with her finger not to get to close. They had ignored her which resulted in them getting yelled by Sal.

-IF I WERE YOU GUYS, I WOULD BACK THE FUCK DOWN !!! IT'S BETWEEN HER AND ME !!!!

They stopped and started to shake in fear. She motions them to the side and mouth something to the two boys.

'I will get her free.'

She took a deep breath and hugs him from behind... She notices he stops and turned to see her icy teary eyes.

"Sal, it is time to stop. She had enough."

Her voice was just a whisper in the wind, but it was loud enough for him to hear. She rested her head on his back. Steam rose from their touch as she was very cold and him very hot.

"Calm."

Her voice was soft and gentle as she pulls her head from his back and turned to see that his grip on the lady falters, and the women landed on the ground in a slump. Just in case, she moves right hand, causing ice spikes to a line separating Sal from the lady. She removes herself from him and grabbed Sal hand in her small hands.

"Let's go."

She let go of his hand before walking off to the spike wall which lowers themselves to the ground.Sofia walked a decent distance away from the bridge before she turned to look at Sal. She had wiped away the tears from her face. Her eyes were wide when she noticed the blood from the wound on her stomach. She forgot about the wound.

"Sal...you are hurt."

She goes through a brown side bag and goes through it. Her eyes seem to shine when she pulled out a bandage rolled and healing herbs for cleaning. She looks at him with a big pout on her face when he denied her help.

"No, let me help you, please. Remeber, we have to help each other."

She smiles at him when she finally gave up and came over to her. She motion for him to sit on a tree stump nearby. She started to gently apply the healing herbs to the wound. She delicately unrolled the bandage and tried her best to the covered the wound. She was having trouble trying to and could hear Sal laughing at her.

"Hey, it is not funny."

She pouts a little before retrying to apply the bandage that she rolled around his body. She finally got it right and proudly smile at her achievement. She pushed back her fearing of fear from early, and pant stood up straight.

"All better."
